Fall Show – Oct 3, 4, 5, 2008

Our show will be held at the Crane House and will be set up in front of that building. It is located at 1244 S. 3rd St., close to the corner of 3rd and Ormsby. This is very close to the location of the St. James Art Fair. Hopefully there will be a lot of foot traffic. There is a large circular drive in front of the building where we will be staging a display of our trees. Security will NOT be a problem, as we will be taking our trees into the locked building during the evening.

The show hours will be from 10 AM to 4 PM each day. Set-up will start at 9 AM on Friday morning. There will be a tent to provide protection from sun and rain and chairs to rest on. Crane House will have a table with literature to promote its activities in the community.

We will need 20 to 25 trees and lots of help from our members. Take advantage of your trip down to old Louisville to work the bonsai show and visit the St. James Art Fair. This should be a wonderful weekend for all of us.

Gene Sewell says he will reserve 6 parking places at his apartment complex for members coming to work the show. Hopefully, we will have material to sell and raffle, and of course we will try to promote membership in the club. There will be a beginner workshop on Nov 8th for all those who want to get a start in the art.

Please give me a call if you can spend a little time helping at the show. We will need lots of help to make this a successful show.

I'm looking forward to seeing all of you. Best regards Earl Ekman
