Linda Kossmann will be conducting her annual pottery workshop on Saturday July 23rd. This year's workshop will be different from previous workshops - both in form and location. We will be making small hand formed pots - many times called pinch pots. These are normally used for small shohin bonsai. I made some in past workshops and they came out extremely well. The pots now have beautiful little trees in them. They are fun to make and extremely useful. think all of you will have a good time at this workshop and it will only cost $5.00 for the clay. You will need to call Linda at 339-9539 so she can bring enough clay for the workshop.
The location will be a new spot for the workshop. Thanks to Lee Squires, we will be holding the workshop at Cave Hill Cemetery at one of their work buildings. Directions to this building will be found at the bottom of this page. We have had workshops at this location in the past and it works out very well.
Be sure to wear old clothes as working with clay can be pretty messy. Kind of like making mud pies. The fun starts at 10 AM and will go on until we are finished. We will not officially break for lunch but if you want to bring a drink and sandwich, it would be a good idea. Please be sure to call Linda and let her know if you will be there.
On Tuesday July 19th at 7 PM, at the Bon Air Library, we will hold our annual planning meeting. This is our most important meeting of the year, as we will be planning our program for the year of 2006. Be sure to be there and bring your ideas for the next year. Try to think up some new programs and interesting things for the club. If you have time, get on the internet and see what some of the other clubs are doing. Maybe they are doing things we would enjoy. Hope to see you at the planning meeting.
I would like to thank Gene Sewell, Ron Smith and George Buehler for all their hospitality at the recent garden tour. Everything was beautiful and the food was great. Thank you for all the hard work.
DIRECTIONS TO THE POTTERY WORKSHOP

Some points to remember:
- There will be employees working and entering/leaving the shop, so be considerate
- Park in designated areas only
- The workshop starts at 10 AM
- We will not break for lunch, so if you need a snack, bring it with you
We want to thank Lee Squires for making this facility available to hold this workshop.
