It is once again time to renew your membership in the Greater Louisville Bonsai Society! Again this year the cost of membership is $30 for a family membership. If you elect to receive this newsletter electronically, the membership is $25.

If you look at the 2005 schedule, you will notice that a number of workshops are being offered to help in increasing your knowledge of bonsai. In most instances, you will take home another tree for a very modest price.

The club has obtained lava rock bonsai soil and is offering it to club members at a very reasonable price. An 18 pound bag will cost $3.50. Many experts feel this is the best bonsai soil mined in the USA. There is a limited supply, so if you want some, don’t delay.

If you would like to obtain some of this soil, contact Earl Ekman or Tom McCurry. You can pick it up at Tom’s fence company (call ahead to make sure somebody is there).
