On June 12 the 2004 Greater Louisville Bonsai Society Garden Tour will be held at the homes of Lee Squires, Tom McCurry and Linda Kossmann. Directions are:
Lee Squires - From the Watterson Expressway, exit onto west bound US-42 (Brownsboro Rd) and proceed to N. Hubbards lane (Second Light after Watterson interchange). Turn left onto Hubbards and drive for about 0.7 miles. Turn right onto Massie Ave. The first street on the right is Springwood Lane. Third house on the right is Lee’s.
Tom McCurry - From Lee’s house go south to Massie, turn left to N. Hubbards. Turn right on Hubbards to Westport Road. Left on Westport for 1.6 miles to Herr lane. Left on Herr for about 0.4 miles to Tom’s on the right.
Linda Kossman - From Tom’s house, head south on Herr Lane (Herr Lane becomes Lyndon Lane) to second red light. Turn left onto La Grange Road and drive about 0.5 miles to Etawah Ave (6th Street from Lyndon) on the left to Linda’s.
May 25th the GLBS beginner Bonsai Workshop was held. We had 9 new members participate. Each new member styled a Taiwan Fig with the help of several more experienced members. It appears that each new member left with a very nice tree.
