On March 13, Lee Squires held a Korean Hornbeam Forest workshop. Thirteen members participated making a variety of different styles including one clump style. Lee started the workshop describing the general concepts on how to plant a forest and the general placement that should be employed. Lee started with 275 trees priced at a reasonable $2, $3, and $4 per tree depending on the size and ended up with only a few ‘leftovers’. The Ekmans furnished refreshments and every one left with a future specimen. These workshops are an excellent time to build your own prized tree.
Lee Hatcher attended the Hornbeam workshop and not only left with a new forest but also became a new member. We welcome Lee.
